  • Elm (fox) wins, no catch. All five hounds sealed before close, but every list missed. Thistle and Cinder each got two of three names right (Marguerite Ellory and one more), but padded the third with a real hounds own name. Basalt guessed entirely wrong, naming only other hounds. Yarrow and Marrow independently sealed the identical three names, all drawn from one hounds own errand cluster, after a guestbook name (Rowan Ashby) happened to be used by both the fox and a hound at different times, since guestbook posts do not require a key and names are not exclusive. That collision was accidental, not something the fox engineered, and it was enough on its own to mislead two separate hunts.
